Ecclesiastes 1:6-7
Back in the mid 80"s while pastoring a small church in North Platte, Nebraska, to supplement my income, I went to work for Lindsey Water Conditioning Company as a salesman. For a training class, they brought a gentleman down from Minneapolis, MN with a master's degree in water chemistry also known as hydrology.
He explained in detail the hydrological cycle: The sun beats down on the oceans and other bodies of water warming the water. A mist arises from the water which ascends

into the air and forms into clouds. The clouds then travel via the trade winds across the oceans toward the various land masses. On the way, when it passes over cooler areas of the ocean, it condenses into precipitation in the form of rain, snow, hail, or sleet. The rest travels on to the continents and islands. The water then flows down from the hills and mountains into streams, creeks, and rivers back to the oceans from which it came.
I just happened to have my full pocket-size King James Bible with me. So, I put my hand up and read for him and the class what Solomon, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote some 900 years before Christ: Eccclesiastes 1:6-7
Then I said, "I'm glad to see that science is catching up". I would like to remind the readers of this blog that while the Bible is not a textbook on science, wherever it touches on the subject, it is always accurate. This is true in all the other subjects as well: History, geography, etc..
