Only One Book

Writer's picture: Daryl E. SellDaryl E. Sell

My blogs for the past couple of years have centered on creation vs evolution and the historicity of the worldwide flood as recorded for us in the Bible, God's Holy Word. I am not a scientist by any stretch of one's imagination. I also admit to an apriority in that I am a born-again Bible-believing Christian. My arguments are based upon the Holy Scriptures and simple logic. Evolution, though couched in scientific jargon, is illogical.

Of the 100 versions of the Bible which is the nearest to the original manuscripts

Now I wish to continue my blog in a little different vein. By the use of logic and history, and based upon God's precious promise to preserve His inspired Word (Psalm 12:6-7), I shall attempt to answer the big question: How many Bibles did God write? There is an excellent book on that subject titled God Wrote Only One Bible. by Jasper James Ray and published by Eye Opener Press in Springfield, Oregon. This book is the one that got Dr. David Otis Fuller turned around on that subject. He then went on to write 3 books on this subject, getting very deep in this study. There are many other books written on this subject by other qualified writers. One that goes extremely deep into this subject is The Identity of The New Testament Text by Wilber Pickering.

The basis upon which all the new versions of the Bible rests is that the text from which they are translated is formulated upon the oldest extant manuscripts. I believe those manuscripts owe their antiquity to their corruption.

In my future blogs, I will support this assertion from the Bible itself, from history, and again plain old logic.

Respectfully submitted,

Chaplain Daryl E. Sell
