Who of us of the older generation can forget that momentous and historic date of July 20, 1969? That was the date that 2nd Lieutenant Buzz Aldrin USAF and Lieutenant JG Neal Armstrong USN landed on the moon.
Many of the scientists involved with this wondrous expedition had bought into the evolutionary hypothesis. Therefore, they were much concerned about the safety of the actual landing of the space craft itself on the moon surface. You see, science already knew of the meteorite's dust including the amount and rate of accumulation on the heavenly bodies. So, according to their belief system, the universe should be millions and millions, perhaps billions, of years old. Because of this long stilts were designed and mounted on the bottom of their spacecraft. These had rounded skid plates on the bottom ends with a long prod piercing through the center to measure the depth of the dust. This was to stabilize the landing process.
The problem was that when Aldrin and Armstrong landed and deboarded, they found only a skiff of meteorite dust that measured only a few inches and was consistent across the surface. By the scientists' own calculations, that would make the moon to be well within 10,000 years old. this was not published for the public nor taught in the schools.
Other things not published or taught were that in addition to Armstrong's famous statement, " One small step for man, and one giant leap for mankind", Neil Armstrong also read from Genesis Chapter one of the KJV Bible in his radio transmission to NASA'a main control center. Also, Buzz Aldrin partook of holy communion. He was given authority to transport the elements and to administer them to himself by his local Presbyterian Church.
Anything that had the slightest scent of Bible and/or Christianity was ignored or quietly expunged from the record.
