Biblical Measurements on Science

When a Christian comes across a scientific finding or assertion, he or she should ask,' How does this square up with the Bible?' We should always measure science with the Word of God. Never should we assess the Bible by what scientists proclaim. If the science that we read or hear about does not contradict the clear teaching of God's Word, it may be good science. We are not antiscientific. All of the modern conveniences that we use daily are products of science. True science and true theology never disagree. Science is a study of God's work while theology is a study of God's Word.

If we judge the Bible by science, we are saying that science is always right and depending on the subject, the Bible may be right. If we follow that train of thought, we have to ask ourselves, 'What do I believe about Jesus Christ? Is He Who He says He is? Is He truly the Son of God and God the Son?'

He quoted more from the first eleven chapters of Genesis than He did from the remainder of the Old Testament. He was not only there when creation happened, He made it happen. (John 1:1-18; Colossians 1:16-19; Hebrews 1:1-3; II Peter 3:3-7).

Under Writers Laboratories has a stringent test to which they put any new scientific innovation. They try every way possible to prove it wrong. If they cannot do so, they put their stamp of approval on it. Evolution would not stand that test.

A little note of trivia: In the 19th century science said if a man were to exceed 50 mph, he would not be able to breathe, would lose consciousness and possibly die. No doubt there are some reading this blog who have received citations for exceeding 50mph and more. I suggest that you not use this "science" as your defense in a court of law.
