The geological column is a theory originated and promoted by geologist Sir Charles Lyell in the 19th century. This was heavily leaned upon by Charles Darwin in his book Origin of the Species which sets forth his theory of evolution. Both of these theories can be refuted through the sciences of paleontology and archaeology. Even so, both of these are taught as fact in our public education system from elementary through high school, college and post grauate schools.
The only place one can find the geological column intact is in books. According to the geological
column theory, the various layers of earth were formed by erosion over an exaggerated length of time. Each layer is supposed to represent a specific time period i.e.: the Jurassic period which supposedly is the second period of the Mesozoic era. The length of time between these layers would be up to millions of years. Even the Jurassic period according to the geological column would have been several million years before man phased in.
Archeologists have found trees buried standing upright expanding through several of these layers. Also, sandwiched between these layers are seams of coal, either anthracite or bituminous. Evolution scientists teach that these seams of coal took millions of years to form long before mankind evolved. Yet within these seams have been found a bell, a hammer and several other artifacts that were definitely crafted by man.
They tell us also that petrification took millions of years. Yet a cowboy's body was found with his foot, ankle, and lower leg petrified inside his boot. That particular brand of boot would have been manufactured in Texas as late as 1948.(See my previous blog on the Petrified Forest in Arizona).
Biblical archeologist, Dr. Clifford Wilson, told me that their favorite verse of Scripture is found in Psalm 85:11."Truth shall spring out of the earth." So much has been uncovered to refute evolution as well as man's perverted history.
